The bell sits right against the dog's chest and only makes a jingle noise when moved. It is easy to get on the collar as you can slide it on, or snap it on. This bell has become a must when it is hunting season. This bell makes a louder noise than the bear bells we have used in past seasons. It is hand made of red bridle leather. The color does not bleed or come off onto the dog when it gets wet. We are also using them on our horses. Snapped to a D ring on the saddle, or even the bridle, we feel safer as we ride in the North Woods during hunting season.
